Pin Colours and Icons

chargEV 3 uses a new colour scheme:

  • By default, all stations start with either a grey or red pin, regardless of their power level or type.

Rapid chargers are marked by a small flash icon on the bottom left of the pin:

  • a blue flash indicates a charger with up to 150 kW,
  • a golden flash indicates a charger with more than 150 kW.

Stations reported either faulty or not usable (for whatever reason) by the community use a red pin on the map.

When subscribed to chargEV Plus other pin colours are used to visualise the current availability of individual connectors, as provided by the operator:

  • Green: At least one of the relevant connectors is available
  • Orange: All relevant connectors are currently in use
  • Red: The station is currently not usable. Either the operator or the community reports the station or individual connectors to be faulty.

The colouring of the pins is based on a variety of information provided by both the operators and the community. A detailed overview of the different statuses can be found here.

The number of available connectors is also shown on the popover which appears after tapping on a pin. Only relevant connectors are considered – relevant connectors are those you configured in the settings and selected as "interesting" in the filters.
