A reference point is a location on the map.
You can set the following as a reference point:
As soon as you have selected a reference point, this point is marked on the map using a blue icon. At the same time, the search radius around this point is also set and a new search is performed automatically.
As soon as, and as long as, a reference point is set, this is used to calculate your distance from, and starting point for navigating to, the selected charging point (not your current location!).
After tapping a charging point pin, the shortest route by car from the reference point to the selected charging point will be calculated and displayed:
After tapping the car icon, the shortest route to your selected charging point will be displayed on the map, and the car icon will be replaced by a navigation arrow:
Tap this arrow and the Maps app will launch. It will then assist you in navigating to the charging point.
A reference point will continue to be displayed until a new reference point is set.
As such, to remove a reference point you need to select a new one.
If no specific location is suitable as a reference point, tap the to simply use your current position.
As this reference point selection will also continue to be displayed, it is always assumed that it is your current location.
