Overview of Controls

Filter IconFilter

If you haven’t set any filters, the app displays all charging points that are compatible with your vehicle as you have set in your configuration.
You can combine multiple filters, e.g. you can search for free rapid chargers. The filter is active right away, and new results will be displayed immediately on the map.

For the filter to work correctly, you need to configure your vehicle’s specifications and your preferences once.

Reload IconReload

To provide you with search results as quickly as possible even when network coverage is poor, the app only displays charging points within a set radius. The search covers the area surrounding the centre of the map, and is displayed as a circle.

The size of the search area depends on the selected filters:

If you enable the “Rapid chargers only” filter, the search will be performed across a wider area – but if you also display fast and slow charging points, the area search will focus in on nearby charging points.

You can change the search radius under the Settings.

Long-press reload

You can start a new search by pressing and keeping your finger on a specific point on the map. This means the new search will centre around where you tapped.

Note: Any reference point set previously will remain active. In other words, the distance will still be calculated from the reference point.

Locate IconReference point

The reference point is used as the centre point of the area search and as the starting point for distance information and for navigation. You’ll find more detailed information here.

List IconList view

Charging points are listed according to their distance from the reference point.
The distance shown in the list (as the crow flies) corresponds to the distance from the reference point.

However, if you use the “long-press reload” function when a reference point has been set, the order of the charging point list will change.

In this case, the order is based on the distance to the map position where you performed a new search using the “long-press reload” function. In other words, the distance to the centre point of the current search.

This lets you do the following:
When planning a trip from A to B, your current position or the departure point is set as the reference point.
Following that, the route will be shown on the map, and a preferred location will be selected as a potential interim charging stop.
You can perform a new search at this location by pressing and keeping your finger on it briefly. The list will then show all charging points around this interim charging stop in increasing distance from the centre point of this new search – meaning the nearest charging point appears right at the top of the list.

The distance from the reference point, the starting point of your journey, is required for range planning (so it is also displayed in the table), but the nearest charging points to the centre point of this new search always feature at the top of the list.
Once you have selected a charging point for your interim charging stop, you can simply add it as a favourite.

You’ll find further information here (in German language).
