Hosting (GitHub Pages)

This website is a static website delivered via GitHub Pages, a service of GitHub, Inc., 88 Colin P. Kelly Jr. Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. When you access our pages, GitHub processes technical access data (such as IP address, browser type and time of access) to the extent required to operate and secure the service; this processing may also take place in the USA. GitHub is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. We do not keep server log files of our own and have no access to GitHub’s log data. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in providing this website reliably and securely (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). For details, see the GitHub privacy statement.

Language preference (local storage)

When you visit the home page, we may store the key “lang” in your browser’s local storage to respect your language choice and avoid redirecting you repeatedly to the German version. This entry is strictly necessary for the function you requested (§ 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG), never leaves your browser, is not used for tracking, and can be deleted at any time via your browser settings.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (“Google”). Google Analytics uses cookies (“ga” and “_ga…”, stored for up to two years) that enable an analysis of how our website is used. We use the resulting aggregated statistics to improve our website.

Processing may also take place on servers of Google LLC in the USA; Google LLC is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. According to Google, IP addresses are neither logged nor stored in Google Analytics 4; for visitors in the EU, IP addresses are collected on EU-based servers and discarded before further processing. User-level and event-level data is deleted after 14 months at the latest.

The legal basis is our legitimate interest in the statistical analysis and improvement of our website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). You can object to the collection at any time (Art. 21 GDPR), for example by installing the browser add-on to deactivate Google Analytics or by blocking cookies in your browser. Embedded Vimeo videos

On some pages (such as the chargEV product page) we embed videos from Vimeo (Vimeo.com, Inc., 555 West 18th Street, New York, NY 10011, USA). When you open a page with an embedded video, a connection to Vimeo’s servers is established and your IP address is transmitted. We embed the videos with the “Do Not Track” parameter; according to Vimeo, no usage tracking then takes place and no analytics or marketing cookies are set. Strictly necessary cookies (for example to secure delivery) may still be set. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in an appealing presentation of our products (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Share links

Our blog articles contain links for sharing on X, LinkedIn and Facebook. These are plain links, not embedded platform plugins: no data is transmitted to these providers while you are merely reading our pages. Only when you click a share link do you reach the respective provider’s website, where their privacy policies apply.

Contact by email

If you contact us by email, we process the information you provide in order to handle your request and possible follow-up questions (Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR). We delete this data as soon as it is no longer required for these purposes and no statutory retention obligations apply.

Your rights

You have the right to access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16 GDPR), erasure (Art. 17 GDPR), restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR) and data portability (Art. 20 GDPR), as well as the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21 GDPR). You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The authority responsible for us is the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of Baden-Württemberg (www.baden-wuerttemberg.datenschutz.de).

No automated decision-making, including profiling, within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR takes place.
